Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of Joy Lutheran Church in Parker!

Entering this site is likely your first step in learning more about our Christ-centered congregation. As you navigate your way through our site, we hope you will get a better sense of who we are and what we believe we are called to do as followers of Jesus. We especially hope you will be interested enough to come and worship with us on a Saturday evening or Sunday morning. We would love to be able to personally greet you and introduce you to some of our members. And don’t worry if you are not a Lutheran – many of our people come from other faith traditions – or no faith tradition.  We believe that it is our differences – as well as our similarities - which when combined, enriches us all!

If you are searching for a church home, a place to worship while visiting the greater SE Denver area, or are just curious about us, we trust this site will convey to you the warm and loving atmosphere of Joy Lutheran!

With enthusiasm,

+Pastor Randy

Lenten Book Study: "The Five Love Languages"

People express and receive love in different way.  In his book, "The Five Love Languages", author Dr. Gary Chapman identifies five languages of love: Quality Time, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service and Physical Touch.   If you express love in a way your partner does not understand, he or she won't realize you've expressed your love at all.  The problem is that you are speaking two different languages.  By reading this book, and/or listening to the Lenten messages offered by Pastor Randy during Holden Evening Prayer each Wednesday evening, we will find ways to understand each other's love language.  This can fundamentally change your relationships, not only with your spouse, but also with your children and friends.  In addition, we will see how Jesus was able to use all five love languages as He spoke to the people of His day.  Books will be available for purchase for $10.00 each.

* Please note, soup suppers during Lent are a fund raising effort for Women of Joy.  Cost is $15 per family OR $5/adult, $4/youth&Seniors, $3/child

Call Committee

Our Call Committee is in discernment while interviewing candidates.  We ask the Holy Spirit wrap his wings around our Congregation, our call committee, our pastoral candidates being considered, and our Rocky Mountain Synod.  We are all part of the process and our prayers are needed by everyone.
