Volunteer Opportunities

Harrison Street School Project

Harrison Street School is a Douglas County supported school for underprivileged students in grades K-6.  Joyful Mission Preschool has adopted them in supporting efforts of the mission of the Director and Assistant Director in nurturing the students to succeed in their learning environment and help them realize their unique gifts.

There is a summer project going on at the Harrison Street School – plans are to take out a vanity, lighting, floor, and re-do the staff bathroom.  If you like to be creative and use your hands, we can use your help; or, you can donate any of the following: laminate flooring, larger vanity, longer light fixture, paint.

If you are interested in helping, please contact Deb Morgans or sign up on the bulletin board in the Narthex.

Adopt-a-Trail

Joy is adopting a one-mile stretch of trail in Parker.  We must keep it litter-free for a year.

Our next outing will be Saturday, July 10, and we'll be starting at 8:30 a.m. to beat the heat.  Meet at the dog station east of the Parker Recreation Center, and wear boots & gloves.  It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to walk the trail, round-trip. For more information, contact the church office.
