Outreach Activities

Community Outreach

Inspired by the Biblical story of the Good Samaritan, Joy’s outreach in the community is accomplished throughout the year through support of various community projects:

  • Parker Task Force
  • Habitat for Humanity (HFH)
  • Lutheran Family Services (LFS)
  • Joshua Station
  • Caring Association for Native Americans (CANA)
  • Praying Hands Ranch
  • Harrison Street School
  • Adopt-a-Trail
  • ELCA World Hunger

To learn how you can become involved, contact Pastor Lyn.

Joy is responsible for keeping clean a section of trail system in Parker.  We work the second Saturday of the month starting at 8:30 a.m.  Meet at the dog station east of the Parker Recreation Center, and wear boots & gloves.  It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to walk the trail, round-trip.
